MENA Economic Outlook 2019: Back to positive growth territory
- In MENA, the GCC is projected to grow at the fastest pace in 2019 assuming minimal direct impact from any global trade wars.
- Globally, the outlook remains generally favourable, but trade wars, Brexit, and Federal Reserve tightening could have a negative impact on emerging market performance.
- In the energy market, the OPEC production allocations are vague and open to non-compliance. Saudi Arabia cut 0.4 Mb/d from its October level, but Libya, Venezuela and Iran are exempt.
